Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily obtain a desired grading density in matching with the recording characteristics of a recording paper, by storing a signal corresponding to the recorded density in advance in a memory. CONSTITUTION:An analog signal to be recorded is applied from an input terminal 1 at a specified level and the inputted analog signal is sequentially converted into a digital signal with a clock of a specified frequency generating circuit 3 at an A-D cnverter 2. After interference and noise are eliminated from this digital signal at a digital signal processing circuit 4, the result is applied to an upper-order address of a memory 6. On the other hand, an address counter 5 repetitively designates a lower-order address of the memory 6 with an output clock of the circuit 3. Thus, a group address of the memory 6 storing a signal corresponding to the recording density in advance at each group is designated, and the designated content of storage is repetitively read out. The signal read out is amplified to a voltage required at an amplifier 7 and applied to a recording pen.

Mechanical recording pen scanning recording devices are used in a variety of applications. For example, in a fish finder, an ultrasonic pulse is emitted into the water, the waves reflected from the school of fish, the seabed, etc. are received, and after amplification and detection, the waves are amplified to the voltage required for recording and recorded in synchronization with the emission of the ultrasonic pulse. In addition to using a recording pen that scans the paper, it also records schools of fish and the ocean floor to detect schools of fish.

In order to determine the type, quantity, sediment, etc. of fish schools from records, it is desirable to record recording densities that correspond to the signal strength of reflected waves, but the recording characteristics of recording paper (the relationship between recording voltage and recording density) The current situation is that the desired recording characteristics cannot be obtained. In particular, dry recording paper has a large dead voltage, and it has been extremely difficult to obtain a desired gradation of recording density using conventional means.

The present invention eliminates such drawbacks, provides a recording apparatus that can be applied to any recording paper, easily obtains a desired gradation density, and can be constructed simply and inexpensively, and will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings.

In the figure, 2 bits (4 stages) of A-

A-D conversion of 4 is possible with 1 IC.
It has been confirmed that smooth changes in recording density are possible with bit (16 steps) A-D conversion. 4 is a digital signal processing circuit which is not directly related to the present invention, but has the advantage that interference, noise, etc. can be easily removed by digital signal processing such as correlation method after A-D conversion, if necessary. There is. Reference numeral 5 denotes an address counter which is a required frequency generating circuit, and the lower address of the memory 6 is repeatedly specified by the output clock of 3. In the figure, the address is specified using 3 bits to simplify the explanation, but in reality, about 6 bits are required to make fine-grained changes in the waveform of the output signal. Therefore, the memory i is actually an EPi memory inside or outside the IK pit or a read-on memory.
Depending on the case, it is also possible to use a memory such as IK bits x 4 words to store several types of contents and output them selectively to change the recording density characteristics. Table 1 is 32
This shows the relationship between bit memory addresses and stored contents.

B shows the clock of the address counter for , B is the signal when the contents of addresses θ to 7 in the above table are repeatedly read, and C to E are 8 to 15, 16 to 23, and 24 to 3, respectively.
The read signal at address 1 is shown. In the figure, a 32-bit memory is used for simplicity, but it is unnecessary to explain that by increasing the number of bits in the memory, a more fine-grained signal can be created. Reference numeral 7 is an amplifier configured to amplify the output of the memory 6 to a voltage necessary for recording, and take it out to the output terminal of 8 and apply it to the recording pen.

As explained above, in the present invention, an analog signal to be recorded is converted into a digital signal of required bits, and this digital signal is used to specify a group address of a memory in which signals corresponding to the recording density are stored in advance for each group. The stored memory content is repeatedly read out, amplified to the voltage necessary for memory output recording, and then given to the recording pen as a recording write signal for recording, so it is easy to create a write signal that matches the recording characteristics of the recording paper. In particular, it is extremely effective as a device of this type because it can easily record the desired gradation, has a simple configuration, and can perform digital signal processing of the signal very easily if necessary. .
