Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce load torque and to prevent deterioration in picture quality by press-contacting the large diameter part of a roller to a contact sensor surface by the weight of the roller or a spring in a facsimile equipment which uses a contact type sensor. CONSTITUTION:Auxiliary rollers 8 are provided at both ends of a rubber roller 4 so that they are at distance greater than the width (a) of an original 7 on sensor cover glass 2, and thus an about 0.05mm. gap less than the thickness of the original is left between the rubber roller 4 and sensor cover glass 2. When the original 7 is sent onto a cntact sensor 1 through the rotation of the roller 5, the original 7 never floats higher than the gap between the rubber roller 5 and sensor cover glass 2 and runs smoothly.

In the conventional document feeding mechanism for the 7-axis i9, as shown in FIG. A belt 6 is hung so as to When the row 25 rotates, the document 7 is fed and reaches the reading position 2, and the rubber roller 4 rotates while pressing the document 7 against the sensor cover glass 3. At this time, until the document 7 reaches the rubber roller 4, the rubber roller 4 rubs against the sensor cover glass 3, resulting in increased frictional resistance and increased load torque. Further, since the document 7 is pressed against the sensor cover glass S by the rubber roller 4, the rubber roller 4 and the sensor cover glass S are easily soiled, resulting in poor image quality.

That is, the present invention is characterized in that the distance between the rubber row 2 and the sensor cup (-) is set slightly to prevent the original from lifting up, and also to prevent the rubber a-9 from coming into direct contact with the sensor cover. The present invention is shown in FIGS. 2 and 5.
An embodiment shown in the figure will be described in detail.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, auxiliary rollers 8 are provided at both ends of the rubber roller 4 at a position away from the width a of the document 7 on the sensor cover glass 2, and the rubber roller 4 and the sensor cover glass 50 are
The configuration is such that there is a gap of approximately α05−, which is smaller than the thickness of the original document.

As the roller S rotates, the belt 6 causes the rubber roller 4 and the auxiliary roller 8 to also rotate, and the document 7 is sent over the contact sensor 1. At this time, the original 7 does not rise above the distance between the rubber roller 5 and the sensor cover glass 20, and the original 7 runs smoothly.
