Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily form a picture on a transparent film by using an ink jet printer by using a system in which a picture is recorded on a recording paper prepared by coating a colorless coating material on a base paper by using an ink jet printer and the picture is heat-transferred onto a transparent film. CONSTITUTION:A picture 4, e.g., letter, patterns, etc., is formed on a recording paper 3 in which a moisture absorptive layer 2 composed of a colorless coating material of silica, lime, etc., is formed on a base paper 1 of usual paper by using an ink jet printer. Then, a transparent film 5 consisting of polyethylene and polyester layers is laminated on the recording paper 3 in such a way that the polyethylene layer side of the film 5 is lapped on the moisture absorptive layer 2. They are subjected to a heat treatment by a hot roller, etc., and then the recording paper 3 is peeled off, whereyupon the polyethylene layer of the film 5 is melted and permeates into the particles of the coating material of the moisture absorptive layer 2. Thus, when the recording paper 3 is peeled off after the coagulation of the polyethylene layer, the picture of colored portion 4 is transferred onto the transparent film 5.

Conventionally, when recording images such as characters and figures on a transparent film used for a slide projector or an overhead projector, it was done by jetting ink droplets onto the transparent film from an inkjet printer to record the characters directly on the transparent film. However, because the transparent film has poor hygroscopicity, the ink jetted onto the transparent film easily flows (and it is very difficult to record directly).

This invention was made with the above points in mind,
A colorless coating material is applied onto a backing paper to form a recording paper, an image is recorded on the recording paper by an inkjet printer, and a transparent film is laminated on the recording paper on which the image is recorded, so that the image on the recording paper is formed. is recorded on a recording paper by an inkjet printer that provides an image recording method on a transparent film, in which the image is thermally transferred to the transparent film, and the transparent film with the transferred image is peeled off from the recording paper to record the image on the transparent film. The resulting image can be transferred to a transparent film, and the image can be easily recorded on the transparent film using an inkjet printer.

In the drawing, (1) is a mount made of plain paper, and (2) is a hygroscopic layer that is coated with a colorless coating material such as silica or lime on the mount (1) to form the recording paper (3) together with the mount (1). ,
(4) is a colored part that is formed when ink droplets ejected by an inkjet printer (not shown) are absorbed by the moisture absorbing layer (2) and constitutes images such as letters and figures, and (5) is a polyethylene layer and a polyester layer. The polyethylene layer side is laminated on the moisture-absorbing layer (2) on which an image is recorded, and is peeled off after being heat-treated with a heat roller or the like.

Then, ink droplets are jetted onto the moisture absorption layer (2) of the recording paper (3) using an inkjet printer to form a colored portion (4), and the polyethylene layer side of the transparent film (5) is placed on the moisture absorption layer (2). When laminated and heat treated, since the melting point of polyethylene is lower than that of polyester, the polyethylene of the transparent film (5) melts and penetrates between the particles of the saliva-cleaning material of the moisture absorption layer (2).

Furthermore, the transparent film (5) is left in the heat-treated state for a predetermined period of time to solidify the polyethylene that has penetrated between the particles of the stimulating material, and then the transparent film (5) is peeled off from the recording paper (3). By doing so, as shown in FIG. 2(b), the moisture absorption layer (2) is attached to the transparent film (5) using polyethylene, and the moisture absorption layer (2) is removed from the mount (1) together with the transparent film (5). It is peeled off, and the image formed by the colored portion (4) is transferred to the transparent film (5), thereby recording the image on the transparent film (5). Incidentally, when the transparent film (5) is peeled off, some of the protective material remains attached to the mount (1).

Therefore, according to the above embodiment, the transparent film (5) is laminated on the moisture absorbing layer (2) of the recording paper (3) on which the colored portion (4) is formed by an inkjet printer, and the transparent film (5) is heat-treated.
By simply peeling off the transparent film (5) from the recording paper (3), the image recorded on the recording paper (3) by the inkjet printer can be easily transferred to the transparent film (5). Images can be easily recorded on transparent film.
