Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は新規な構造を有する水吸収性シート蓚びこれを
製造するための圧着装置に係わる。
従来、衛生材、紙オムツ等の衛生製品の吸収材として、
パルプ、紙綿、クレープ入り加工紙等が用いられている
。
しかし、最近衛生材、紙オムツ等の衛生製品の軽量化、
コンパクト化を目的として該衛生製品の吸収材の合理化
検討がなされ、その結果、高分子吸収材が開発された。
本発明者等は高分子吸収剤を用いた高吸収性シート材に
ついて研究した結果、少なくとも一方が水浸透性シート
である２枚のシートの間に高分子吸収剤を挿入介在せし
め、これら２枚のシートの少なくとも一部を相互に圧着
させて複合積層化させてなる水吸収性シートを開発して
本発明に到ったものである。
上記２枚のシートとしては従来使用されているクレープ
入り吸収紙が適当であるので、以下クレープ入り吸収紙
を用いる場合について主として記載するが、一方が水浸
透性シートであれば他の適当なシートを用いる場合にも
本発明を適用し得る。
本発明の水吸収性シートをつくるには、例えば２枚のク
レープ入り吸水紙の間に高分子吸収剤を介在させ、これ
をエンボスロールにより加圧加工してエンボス圧着面に
て固定し、積層複合化させる。
本発明者等はこの場合のエンボスパターン、エンボスの
かけ方について特に検討を行ない、複合化の機構の改良
により従来のものより性能及び経済性に於いて遥かに優
れた高吸収性シート材が得られることを見出した。
従来の高吸収性衛生シート材に用いられている構成材料
の特性を考えるに、該高吸収性衛生シート材の上紙をな
すクレープ紙は目付１０〜４０ｇｒ／ｍ２、クレープ率
１０〜４０係の吸水紙又はレーヨン紙等の不織布、下紙
は■上紙と同じ、■サイズ剤等にて防水加工した防水加
工紙、■ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン等の不透過性シ
ート、■■又は■に■をラミネートしたものなどよりな
り、血液、尿、水等の液体（以下単に液体と称す）に対
してなじみが良く、クレープを有していることより一般
の吸水紙より嵩高で、その結果、保液性、吸水性並びに
吸水スピードに優れているが、高性能を要求する高吸収
性衛生シート材の吸収材としては、保液性が劣るのが欠
点である。
一方、高分子吸収剤としては、澱粉重合体、アクリル酸
系重合体、セルロース系等の自重の５０倍以上の吸収性
を有するものがあり、液体の保持性に優れるものの、液
体へのなじみが悪く、吸水スピードの遅いのが欠点であ
る。
従って、これら構成材料の特性を失うことなく複合化す
るに当っては、（１）クレープ紙のクレープ率を低下さ
せないようにすること、（２）高分子吸収剤と液体との
接触面を出来るだけ多くすること、などを配慮して複合
化することが必要である。
本発明者等はこれら（１） ？ （２）を満足するため
にはエンボスパターンとエンボス面積が重要な要因とな
ることを見出した。
一般にクレープ紙にエンボスをかけると、クレープ紙は
エンボス加圧方向に弓１張られ、伸びてしまう。
従ってクレープを出来るだけ残すためには。エンボスの
圧を小さくするのが望ましいが、一方クレープ紙と高分
子吸収剤とを接合して高吸収性衛生シート材としての形
態安定性を保持するだけのエンボス圧は必要となる。
従って、効率良いエンボスの掛は方、即ち高吸収性衛生
シート材としての形態安定性を保持させながら、上記（
１） ？ （２）の如き性能を満足するエンボス加工方
法が望ましい。
本発明者等は該条件を満足すべくエンボス加工方法を種
々検討した結果、表面が配列された多数の凸部と配列さ
れた多数の凹部及び平坦な部分から成るエンボスロール
と平坦な面から成る受はロールで構成された圧着装置に
より、上記の２枚のシート間に高分子吸収剤を介在させ
たものをエンボス加工してこれら２枚のシートの一部を
相互に圧着させれば、目的とするエンボスパターンを賦
型させた高吸収性衛生シート材が得られることを見出し
た。
本発明の複合シート材に於いては、２枚のシートの圧着
部が上記エンボスロールの平坦部により相対的には弱く
圧着された部分と、エンボスロールの凸部により相対的
に強く圧着された部分とからなり、エンボスロール表面
の凹部に対応するシート部分は非圧着部を構成するので
ある。
次にこれを図面により説明すると、本発明の水吸収性シ
ートは第３図及び第４図に示す如きエンボスをもつエン
ボスロールにて加圧加工し、第１図及び第２図に示す如
きエンボスパターンを賦型させて得られる新しい高吸収
性衛生シートである。
第３，４図に示すエンボスロール１０の凸部、即ち、高
部エンボス部８は第１，２図に示すエンボスパターン図
の１に対応し、更に第３，１図に示すエンボスロールの
平坦部、即ち、低部エンボス部７は第１，２図のエンボ
スパターン２に対応するエンボス賦型構造である。
同、第３，４図に示すエンボスロールの凹部９は第１，
２図に示すエンボスパターン図の３に対応し、非圧着部
である。
該エンボス賦型構造は各部分に於いて、高吸収性衛生シ
ート材の複合化を安定化させる機能をもっている。
即ち、新しい高吸収衛生シート材の複合化を安定化させ
る部分は、第１図の１の部分であり、エンボス加工の影
響が少なく、上紙のクレープ残存が大きく、従って液体
に対する吸水スピード、吸水能の低下を生じさせること
が少ない。
又、第１図の３の部分はシート、特にクレープ紙の伸び
を生じさせることが少なく、更にこれらの非圧着部を相
互に第１図の１６の如く連通させておけば、クレープ紙
の方向性がなくなり、シートはより柔軟となり、水分が
均一に早く分散し得る様になる。
又、第１図の３を形成させるための中間平坦部分、即ち
、第１図の２の部分は、１の賦型にともなう、３の部分
のシートの伸びを押えるゾーンとなっている。
同、第３図に於いて１１は受はロール、１２は被エンボ
ス加工積層シートを示す。
上記本発明のエンボスロールによれば、凸部は両シート
の強い圧着を行ない、この凸部は面積比からいえば平坦
部よりずっと少なくてよいから、得られた積層シートの
柔軟性が増加する。
平坦部は両シートを適当に弱く圧着するが、受はロール
がやわらかい材質の場合、この平坦部による圧着が特に
必要である。
これに対し凹部では両シートを圧着せず、両シート間に
介在する高分子吸収剤はフリーの状態に保たれ、充分に
水に対する吸収性を発揮する。
本発明に於いて２枚のシートの圧着部分と非圧着部分と
の面積の割合は１：０．０５〜１：４の範囲となる様適
当に選ばれる。
凸部１は第１図に示す如く凹部３を囲む様に配列される
のが好ましく、特に凹部が一定間隔をもって配列され、
縦と横に隣接す葛凹部の間に凸部が二つずつ配列され、
斜めに隣接する四部の間に凸部が一つずつ配列するパタ
ーンが特に好ましい。
凸部の間隔は１ｍｍ〜１０朋程度であって、間隔が余り
少ないと、得られた複合シートの柔軟さが不充分であり
、多すぎるとシートに対する高分子吸収剤の固定が不充
分となる。
第２図は第１図のＡ −Ａ’線断面図であるが、上下シ
ート４，５の間に高分子吸収剤６を介在させた積層シー
トがエンボスロール表面の平坦部２により圧着され、特
に凸部１により強く圧着されることがわかる。
第３，４図に示した本発明によるエンボスロールを用い
た圧着装置によるエンボス加工の際のシートの変形賦型
状態を第５図及び第６図に示す。
積層シートは二枚の上下シート１３ 、１５の間に高分
子吸収剤１４が介在せしめられてなり、加工前は第５図
の如くエンボスロール１０と受はロール１１の間におか
れている。
これをエンボス加工すると第６図の如くなる。
第６図に於いて低部エンボス７と高部エンボス８によっ
て賦型された部分は夫々第６図のＣとＤの部分であって
、特に高部エンボス８によるＤの部分は本発明の高吸収
衛生シート材の形態安定化を効率良く行なうため深くエ
ンボスされている。
又、この深いエンボスの影響により吸水紙が必要以上に
延びることによる吸水紙のクレープ率の低下を防ぐため
、低部のエンボス７を設け、該エンボス７による賦型が
Ｃである。
この賦型Ｃによりエンボスの凹部９の部分であるＡの部
分の吸水紙の変型が少なくなる。
従って第６図に示すエンボスによる賦型構造をもつ高吸
収衛生シート材の対液挙動として、Ｄは最も圧着が強い
部分であり、又Ｃも軽度圧着されており、エンボス処理
によって対液吸収特性は低下する。
−力筒６図のＡの部分はエンボスの影響が少ないため、
クレープの残存が大きく、上紙の対液特性は低下が少な
い。
又、このＡの部分には上紙１３と高分子吸収剤１４との
間に僅かながら空隙をもち、上紙１３を通しての水の浸
透はこの空隙にためられ、高分子吸収剤との接触時間が
長くなり、高分子吸収剤の対液特性を発揮できる要因と
なる。
次に本発明の実施例を示す。
以下の実施例では第７図に示す如きエンボスロールの表
面の凸部８及び凹部９の配置を有するエンボスロール（
材質Ｓ−２５Ｃ）を使用した。
平坦部７の面積は所望のエンボス面積比が得られる様定
めた。
このエンボスロールの径は１００φ、凸部の高さは０．
４ ｍｒｎ（実施例１，２）又は０．８朋（実施例３，
４）、凸部相互の間隔は−ｇｍｒｎ、凹部の直径は２．
６ ｍｍ、その深さはＬ６ｍｒｒｔであった。
受はロールとしてはテフロン製（硬度８０° ）の径１
００φのものを使用した。
実施例 １ 目付２５ｇ／ｇｊの吸収紙間に架橋ポリアクリル酸ナト
リウム粉末（粒度４５０μ以下）を２０ｇ／ｍの目付で
はさみ、エンボス面積比（圧着部／非圧着部）４．１、
エンボス圧５ｋｇ／ａｍ、エンボス温度１６０°Ｃでエ
ンボス加工により固定して高吸収シート材を得た。
実施例 ２ 目付２５ｇ／ｌｒｉ：の吸収紙と防水加工紙間に架橋力
ルボキシメチルセノ１０−ス粉末（粒度４５０μ以下）
を３０ ｇ／ｇｉ’（Ｄ目付ではさみ、エンボス面積比
８．０、エンボス圧８ｋｇ／ｃｒ／Ｌ、エンボス温度１
６０℃でエンボス加工により固定して高吸収シ−ト材を
得た。
実施例 ３ 目付３０ ＆／ｍのレーヨン紙（レーヨン２０％混抄紙
）とポリエチレンシート間に澱粉−ポリアクリル酸クラ
フト共重合体粉末（粒度４５０μ以下）を２ｏｇ／ｍの
目付ではさみエンボス面積比１０．５、エンボス圧１０
ｋｇ／ＣｒｆＬ、エンボス温度１４０℃でエンボス加工
により固定して高吸収シート材を得た。
実施例 ４ 目付３０ｇ／ｍの吸収紙とポリエチレンラミネート紙間
に架橋ポリアクリル酸すｌ−ＩＪウム粉末（粒度４５０
μ以下）を３０ ｇ ／ｌｒｉ：（Ｄ目付ではさみ、エ
ンボス面積比５，５、エンボス圧８ｋｇ／ｃｒｒＬ。
エンボス温度１２０℃でエンボス加工により固定して高
吸収シート材を得た。
上記実施例１〜４で得られた高吸収シート材はいずれも
柔軟性に優れ、且つ吸収性に豊んだシート材であった。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １ 少なくとも一方が水浸透性シートである２枚のシー
    トの間に高分子吸収剤を挿入して成り、これら２枚のシ
    ートが多数の非圧着部をシート全面に配夕１ルて相互に
    圧着され、圧着部と非圧着部の面積の割合が１：０．０
    ５〜１：４であり、圧着部が相対的に強く圧着された部
    分と弱く圧着された部分とからなることを特徴とする水
    吸収性シート。 ２２枚のシートの非圧着部が相互に連続している特許請
    求の範囲第１項記載の水吸収性シート。 ３２枚のシートが共に水浸透性シートである特許請求の
    範囲第１項又は第２項記載の水吸収性シー ト。 ４２枚のシートが一方は水浸透性シートであり、他方は
    水不浸透性シートである特許請求の範囲第１項又は第２
    項記載の水吸収性シート。 ５ 高分子吸収剤が自己架橋ポリアクリル酸塩である特
    許請求の範囲第１項乃至第４項の何れか１項に記載の水
    吸収性シート。 ６ 表面が配列された多数の凸部と配列された多数の凹
    部及び平坦な部分から成るエンボスロールと平坦な面か
    らなる受はロールで構成されて成る圧着装置を有し、前
    記両ロールの間を少なくとも一方が水浸透性シートであ
    る２枚のシートの間に高分子吸収剤を挿入介在させた積
    層シートを通過させてエンボス加工する様にしたことを
    特徴とする水吸収性シートの製造装置。 ７ 凸部が凹部を囲むように配列されて成る特許請求の
    範囲第６項記載の水吸収性シートの製造装置。 ８ 凹部が一定間隔をもって配列され、縦と横に隣接す
    る凹部の間に凸部が２つずつ配列され、斜めに隣接する
    凹部の間に凸部が１つずつ配列されてなる特許請求の範
    囲第７項記載の水吸収性シートの製造装置。
