DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an apparatus for automatically printing circuit patterns and the like on square or rectangular glass or ceramic substrates.

Conventionally, in order to print circuit patterns etc. on glass or ceramic substrates, these substrates were placed one by one on the chuck plate of a printing machine by hand, and the chuck plate was moved and placed under the printing plate. Alternatively, the printing plate is moved onto the chuck board and set in place, then a squeegee is moved to print circuit paste on these boards, and when printing is finished, the chuck board is removed. Either return to the original position, that is, the position where these substrates were placed, or the printing plate returns to its original position, take out the printed substrates, finish printing, and then insert the next one of these substrates and print again. This method was repeated.

However, the above method is inefficient because the glass or ceramic substrates are loaded and unloaded one by one manually, and when printing is performed one after another using several printing plates, the order of each printing is different. Because it changes easily, it is inconvenient, for example, it is difficult to investigate the relationship between the defective part of the plate and the board.

The printing device of the present invention solves the above-mentioned drawbacks and also enables labor and space savings.

Hereinafter, printing of a square ceramic substrate will be described in detail with reference to the embodiment shown in the drawings. Reference numeral 1 denotes a first magazine, and grooves 16 are formed at regular intervals on both left and right sides of the inside for holding the left and right edges of the substrate in and out. They are arranged vertically in parallel,
On the other side, side plates 17 are attached on both sides.

When the substrate 3 is sent out, the motor 6 is actuated by a phototube device (not shown), and the magazine platform 8 carrying the magazine 1 is pushed up for a certain period of time until another phototube is activated by the worm gear mechanism to stop it.

A rope conveyor 4 transports the substrate 3 supplied from the magazine 1. When the substrate hits a stopper 9 at a position below the screen printing plate 13 fixedly disposed above the rope conveyor 4, the conveyor 4 will stop automatically.

When the conveyor stops, either edge perpendicular to the edge that abuts the stopper 9 is placed on the screen printing plate 13.
An air cylinder 11 fixed at the same height as the rope conveyor 4 below is pressed against the centering stopper 10 to center and fix the position of the substrate, and then the screen printing plate 13 is pressed under the conveyor 4 and at the same height as the screen printing plate 13. A chuck board 18 holds the substrate by another vertical cylinder 14 placed directly below the conveyor 4, moves up between the ropes, lifts the substrate to a predetermined position on the conveyor 4, and stops, and at the same time, unnecessarily removes the substrate during printing. Fix the board using a vacuum device, etc. to prevent it from moving.

At this time, the limit switch is activated and the pusher 2' is operated to feed and store the substrate into a second magazine 1' which has the same structure as the first magazine 1 and is placed on the side of the conveyor 4.

On the other hand, during this operation, printing is being performed on the next substrate, and at the same time the next substrate is fed from the magazine 1 onto the conveyor 4, and only when the conveyor 4 is stopped, these feeding, printing,
The three storage steps are sequentially performed on the substrates, and the conveyor 4 is repeatedly transferred and stopped so that the printed substrates can be sequentially and hierarchically fed into the grooves 16 and stored in the magazine 1'.

At this time, since each board is stored in a shelf shape inside the magazine at regular intervals, it is also possible to put the board into the furnace with the side plate of the magazine at the bottom.

In the proposed automatic printing device for rectangular substrates, the conveyor uses a rope, so it makes linear contact with the back surface of the substrate, and the contact area is extremely small, and the rope's ability to withstand dirt and debris against glass or ceramic substrates is better than that of a belt-like rope. Therefore, when the printed circuit board is stored in a magazine after printing, there is no risk of contamination of the circuit pattern due to dirt or dust falling from the back surface of the upper substrate to the printed surface of the lower substrate.

Therefore, there is no problem in repeatedly printing the substrate. Furthermore, since the surface area of the chuck plate that passes between the ropes and moves up and down can be increased, the substrate is strongly supported over a wide area during printing, so printing can be performed in a stable state.

In addition, since the magazine has grooves spaced vertically on both sides of the magazine, the rectangular board is supported by both edges and does not come into contact with each other, thereby preventing damage to the printed circuit pattern. This eliminates the inconvenience caused by the easy change in the order of printing, and allows printing to be automatically and repeatedly performed in the correct order.

Furthermore, since the rectangular substrates are housed in the magazine in a three-dimensional hierarchical manner, the work area can be used extremely effectively, allowing work to be done in a narrow space.

Furthermore, since the proposed device prints with the screen printing plate fixed only by vertical movement of the chuck board that passes between the ropes, the time required for the movement of the chuck board or screen printing plate in the conventional method is reduced. There is an advantage that you can only print extra.
