Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the cleaning performance by disposing an elastic member mounted tightly to a pivotally supporting part between a blade holder and an arm member and between the arm member and a casing member and pressing the blade to the surface of a photoreceptor with stable pressure. は、ケーシング2と、ケーシング2に内蔵されるクリー
ニングブレード3及びクリーニングブレード3の保持並
びに加圧機構と、現像剤を回収する排出コイル4などか
らなっている。ケーシング2は、感光体25に向って開
口する開口部を有していて、この開口部を感光体250
表面に対して離間又は近接する位置に選択的に位置させ
られている。クリーニングブレード3は、例えばウレタ
ンゴムのような弾性を有する板状体であって、クリーニ
ング時には一側縁(エツジ)が感光体25の表面に圧接

してブレードホルダ7に固着されている。ブレードホル
ダ7は、略り字形状を有していて、その一端部7aはサ
ポータ5を固着し、他端部7bはピン8を介してアーム
部材9の、4′1 一端9aに枢支されている。フレードホルダ端部7bと
アーム部材端部9aとを互いに揺動自在に連結するピン
8の外周には、ねじりばね10が巻装されておシ、ねじ
りばね10の両端10a 、 10bは、ブレードホル
ダ端部7bの係止部7C及びアーム部材端部9aの係止
部9Cにそれぞれ係止され、ピン8を中心としてクリー
ニングブレード3のエッジヲ常時感光体25の表面に圧
接する向きにブレードホルダ7を回転すべく付勢してい
る。アーム部材9は、略り字形状を有していて、中央部
にピン11を介してケーシング2の側壁に枢支されてい
る。アーム部材9の他端部9bには、コイルばね12の
一端が座着させられている。コイルばね12の他端は、
ケーシング2の角隅部に係止され、アーム部材9ば、ピ
ン11を中心として常時図中時計方向に回動する向きの
習性を与えられている。この回動習性は、クリーニング
ブレード3のエツジを感光体25の表面に更に押圧する
ようになっている。すなわち、このクリーニング装置は
