Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate bad influence on every part of a kettle exerted by overheating by a method wherein the bottom of the kettle body excepting the location at which a heater etc. is installed is formed with recesses in which water is allowed to remain during water heating thereby preventing overheating of the bottom part. CONSTITUTION:When, after filling water in a kettle body 1 and shutting off its lid 5, an electric current is applied through a power source cord 12 to a heater 9 installed on the lower surface of a bottom plate 2, the water boils to generate steam. When the steam passes through a whistle 7 formed in a water pouring port 6, the whistle blows thereby alarming the boiling of water. When the temperature of a heated surface 2a of the bottom plate 2 exceeds a predetermined value, a safety device 10 is actuated to interrupt the flow of electric current through the heater 9. At that time, water remains in recesses 2b, 2c formed in the bottom plate 2, and therefore the temperature of the latter is not allowed to exceed the boiling point of water. Therefore, excessive heat is not applied to a saddle 11 and caulked part of the body 1 and the bottom plate 2 to prevent loosening of the caulked parts and giving bad influence on every part of the kettle.

In general, in this type of water boiler, if you continue to turn on the water even after it has boiled, the hot water will gradually evaporate, and if you continue to turn on the power and continue heating, the hot water will completely evaporate and run out. A safety device detects the abnormally high temperature at this time and cuts off the power supply.

The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned conventional problems, and includes providing a heater in contact with the bottom of the main body and a maintenance device near the heater at the same height as the heater, and a location where the heater and security device are provided. By forming a recess in the bottom of the main body, the purpose is to prevent excessive heat from being transmitted to other parts when the hot water has completely evaporated.

Reference numeral 2 denotes a bottom plate forming the bottom of the main body, which is fixedly attached to the lower end of the main body 1. 3 is a lower frame provided below the bottom plate 2, and 4 is a lid that fits into the opening 1' of the main body 1 and has a knob 6. Reference numeral 6 denotes a spout provided diagonally above the main body 1, and a flute 7 is provided at the opening. Reference numeral 8 denotes a girder handle 31-- arranged so as to span the opening 1' of the main body 1. 9 is an annular heater fixed to the bottom plate 2, and 10 is a safety device consisting of a thermostat, etc. installed on the heater surface 2a at the same height as the heater 9 near the heater 9, and is connected to the power source in series with the heater 9. be. Reference numeral 11 denotes a saddle fixed to the substantially central portion of the lower frame 3 by welding or the like, and supports the bottom plate 2 from below. 12 is a power cord which is fixed to the saddle 11 with a band 3 and led out from the lower frame 3 via a rubber pusher L14. Reference numeral 16 indicates a leaf spring provided on the saddle 11. In the above configuration, the main body 1 is filled with water and the power cord 12 is connected to the main body 1.
When the water is plugged into an outlet and the heater 9 is energized, the water is heated and boils after a while. If you leave it without turning off the power, the hot water will continue to flow.I1. II, '1,
