The most specific method for converting animal hair to date is to taper one end of the fiber.
This is based on simply imitating the tip shape of natural animal hair. According to this method, the above-mentioned am form 1 surface touch and natural appearance are undesirable, although a considerable improvement is obtained when looking only at the tip portion of the fiber.

As is well known, there are countless scale-like folds on the surface of animal hair, and the cross-sectional shape is uneven, and there are twists, embroideries, thick parts, thin parts ( There is a so-called "sick and thin" phenomenon, resulting in significant irregularities. It is believed that this irregularity presents the surface form 2 surface touch or natural appearance that is characteristic of animal hair 8I. K to improve this point.

Attempts have been made to extrude the polymer from a non-circular sand spinneret to form irregularly shaped yarns, or to consciously impart a thick-and-thin appearance by stretching at a lower or higher stretching ratio than the normal stretching ratio. there were. However, regarding the former, it is true that the cross section is irregularly shaped, but the yarn is uniform in the longitudinal direction, and regarding the latter, the repeating length of thick and thin parts like thick and thin that occurs during drawing is 10 am.
As a result, the cycle becomes much longer than the thick and thin pattern that is inherent in animal hair, and it becomes extremely poor in the appearance of animal hair.

In addition, all of the conventional methods for making animal hair start by imparting morphological changes to a part of the fiber, such as tapering the tip of the fiber, and this is the limit to making animal hair. It is no exaggeration to say that there was.

As a result of intensive research aimed at achieving the above object, the present inventors have found that when converting synthetic fibers into animal hair, it is necessary to impart an essentially irregular surface form or cross-sectional form. They discovered that touch and natural appearance can be obtained and arrived at the present invention. That is, the present invention provides an animal hair-like synthetic polymer, which is characterized in that the synthetic polymer discharged from a spinneret that gives a swirling flow or oscillating flow to the yarn immediately after discharge is immediately introduced into a cooling bath, solidified, and then subjected to drawing and heat treatment. This is a method for molding fibers.

To explain the features of the present invention, first, the synthetic polymer must be discharged from a spinneret that can impart a swirling flow or vibration to the yarn immediately after discharge. In addition, there are many ways to create a swirling flow or an oscillating flow on the yarn immediately after discharge, which is in a flowing state. First, let's talk about a typical example of generating a swirling flow. When a high-viscosity synthetic polymer is extruded through the spinning hole, several swirling flows as shown in FIG. 2 are formed directly below the spinning hole.

When this swirling flow is formed, it is immediately introduced into a cooling bath and solidified, then wound and stretched to obtain an animal hair-like fiber having a twisted pattern as shown in FIG. Furthermore, by applying a suitable combustion treatment in addition to stretching, it is possible to add a crimp pattern as shown in FIG. 3 in addition to the twist pattern.

Next, we will discuss the method of applying an oscillating flow to the yarn immediately after discharge. As shown in Figure 4, the flows of synthetic polymers extruded at different linear velocities from two very close spinning holes are merged. A swing Ib flow occurs. This frequency is quite high and can even reach 50 vibrations per second. In addition to losses, swirling flows may also occur. In the presence of this oscillating flow, the yarn is immediately introduced into a cooling bath and solidified to form an undrawn yarn, which is then drawn to obtain a drawn yarn having a thick-and-thin appearance as shown in the diagram @S. Furthermore, if heat treatment is performed in addition to stretching, a crimp pattern as shown in FIG. 6 can also be obtained.

The synthetic polymer used in this experiment may be any 1a anchor-forming polymer such as polyolefin, polyester, or polyamide, but polyester, which has good chemical resistance and excellent spinnability, is preferred. Among these, polytetramethylene terephthalate fibers are preferred because their elastic modulus is close to that of animal hair.

The stretching performed in the present invention may be dry heat stretching, but the fiber diameter is 0.
If the fiber is 1■ or more, it is preferable to stretch with warm water, and if the fiber is 1! In order to impart dimensional stability to the material, a heat treatment is performed, which may be a fixed length heat treatment, but if it is desired to change the texture, it is preferable to perform a heat treatment in a relaxed state.

In this way, the animal hair-like fibers obtained by the present invention generally have a non-circular cross section, and are not uniform in the longitudinal direction, but have a twisted, curled, or thick-and-thin appearance, which is characteristic of animal hair. It is thought that the texture and appearance resulting from the irregularity and non-uniformity of the material are achieved. In addition, by cutting these fibers to a certain length and gathering them into bundles, the tips are treated with chemicals or mechanically polished to create a tapered finish, which further improves the appearance of animal hair, creating the twists and curls unique to animal hair. This results in a surface morphology that closely resembles that of animal hair, the sliminess characteristic of animal hair, and a natural appearance without any artificial odor.

In addition, the fineness of the animal hair-like fiber of the present invention is preferably 10 to 200 d·. When the fineness is less than 10 de, the effect of the shape change imparted by the present invention is difficult to be reflected in the texture and appearance, and when the fineness exceeds 200 de, the fiber itself becomes rough and hard, and loses its animal hair-like appearance. There is a tendency.

The concentration of this m bundle of fibers is 20% and the temperature is 100℃. After immersing it in an aqueous soda solution to a depth of 30 degrees, it was gradually pulled up and treated with aqueous solution, taking 90 minutes to raise it to the water. When this delicate bundle was washed with water and dried, a beautiful animal hair-like fiber with a teno (-) tip was obtained. Because it has a curly appearance, there is no artificial odor due to the uniformity found in conventional artificial animal hair; there is no artificial odor due to the uniformity, and there is a surface shape and surface touch (&: The appearance is reminiscent of Anlagora hair. The finish was 1].

Comparative Example 1 An experiment was conducted in the same manner as in Example 1 under the same conditions except that a normal round hole was used instead of the S-shaped spinning hole. The tips of the obtained fiber bundles resembled those of animal hair, but the cross-sections and appearance of the individual fibers were linear and uniform with no change, making them an artificial product. It also lacked flexibility and fluffiness, and was far inferior to l!JINFIJL's animal hair-like fiber.

Actual Example 2 3.3g of polyethylene terephthalate was extruded per minute from a spinneret having 16 spinning holes of 1 set of 2holes as shown in Fig.
m motion flow was formed. When observing the number of fluctuations with a strobe, it was approximately s o Hl. The extruded molten polymer was introduced into a water-cooled bath installed at a position approximately 31 mm below the spinneret to solidify it, and then wound at a speed of 50 mm/ml to obtain an undrawn yarn. This undrawn yarn was placed in warm water at 80°C for 30 minutes.
The yarn was stretched twice to obtain 200 denier/16 drawn yarns.

This drawn yarn had a thick-and-thin shape as shown in FIG. 5 in which there were thick and thin portions at intervals of about 5 cm, and the cross section had a daruma-like shape. Furthermore, when this drawn yarn is heat-treated in hot water at 100°C for 2 minutes, the fiber shrinks slightly and at the same time an irregular winding pattern as shown in Fig. 6 appears, resulting in an animal hair-like texture with an extremely soft surface touch. Power was obtained. Moreover, since this animal hair-like fiber has a suitable thick-and-thin mechanism, it has an even more natural appearance, and the glittering appearance characteristic of synthetic fibers was not felt at all.
