In order to improve light distribution, the filament of a light bulb must be made as small as possible, but on the other hand, making the filament too small increases the temperature of the filament and shortens its lifespan. Therefore, there has been a demand for the development of a marker light that can satisfy both light distribution and service life.

Next, in this marker light, we made various prototype bulbs (6) by varying the pitch p and coil length while keeping the wire diameter d of the filament A4 and the coil diameter the same, and conducted tests. I did it. First, the dimensions of the prototype filament are shown in Table 1 below.

Next, a halogen light bulb (6) using each prototype filament (6) was attached to the example marker lamp, and the light distribution was investigated. The results are shown in FIG. In the figure, the horizontal axis is the horizontal angle (in units of 90), and the vertical axis is the luminous intensity in units of X10''Cd. (B) (-) is the one using Na2 filament, the curve (C) (--1) is the one using the broken 3 filament, and the curve (D) (-------) is the one using the Taki 4 filament. The light distribution curves used are shown, and curve C (E) shows the target light distribution pattern. As is clear from this figure, the smaller p is, the higher the central luminous intensity is, and the higher the average luminous intensity is. This is understandable. However, from this figure, it can be understood that when p exceeds 2 and Od, the average luminous intensity is so low that it is not practical. And,
The curve (b), that is, the case where p is around 1.6d, is particularly preferable because the light distribution curve approximates the target light distribution pattern (g).

Then, taking into account the results of the aforementioned life test and light distribution test, in the present invention, p is 1.5d to 2.5d. The range was set to Od. As a result, the marker lamp of the present invention had a long life that satisfactorily passed the standards, and had improved light distribution.

It should be noted that the present invention is not limited to airport marker lights, but can be applied to all marker lights that combine a halogen light bulb and a light control member to provide similar effects. The light control member referred to in the present invention is typically a rotating quadratic curved reflecting mirror, a lens, a prism, or a combination thereof.

The marker light of the present invention is a combination of a halogen light bulb and a light control member, and since the pitch of the filament of the halogen light bulb is set in the range of 1.5 to 2.0 times the wire diameter, the light distribution is good and the light distribution is good. It has a long enough lifespan.
