Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain display which is similar to a dropping state of sand of a mechanical sandglass, and also to electronize it completely, by placing display elements for generating 2 different colors, on the display faces placed on the upper and lower parts, and constituting so that a display color the display face of the upper side is shifted to the display face of the lower side, as time passes. CONSTITUTION:Upper and lower display faces 3, 4 which are symmetrical in the upper and lower parts and are in a state that the center parts are connected by a constricted part 2 are partitioned on one side of a sandglass body 1. In said each display face 3, 4, a lot of display elements 5, 5... are placed like a pyramid. As for the display elements 5, 5... in this case, for instance, a light emitting diode (LED) for generating 2 differenct colors of red and green in used. The upper side display element placed in the upper side display face 3 is constituted of a red LED36 and a green LED37. A lower side display element 45 placed in the lower side display face 4 is constituted of both a red LED46 and a green LED47 in the same way as the upper side display element 35.

An example of a specific configuration of this integrated circuit 01 is shown in FIG. ■ is an up-up/down counter provided corresponding to the upper display element (to) (to), etc., and counts up the number of stitches by 1 each time a pulse is supplied. , a countdown terminal (IW) which counts down the number of stitches by 1 each time a pulse is supplied, an up-reset terminal (UR) which sets the number of stitches to zero when a reset pulse is applied, and a countdown terminal (UR) which counts down the number of stitches by 1 each time a pulse is applied. It has a down-reset terminal (DR) that sets the count to its highest value. The number of hands of this counter is determined by the time measured by the hourglass on the ball, but for example, it is set to 1 second. The display type changes by 1 E every time, and if it is a 1 minute hand, it is 6o, and if it is a 3 minute hand, it is 18o.
The display shape changes by one every 1 or 3 seconds, and is determined depending on the performance function of the hourglass, such as 20° for a 1 minute hand and 60° for a 3 minute hand. (2) is a lower up-down counter provided corresponding to the lower display elements (45), (45), etc., and has exactly the same configuration as the above-mentioned upper up-down counter. The up terminal (vp') of the upper up/down counter ■ is connected to the down terminal (DIE) of the lower down counter Q11, and the down terminal (Z) F) of the upper counter ■ is connected to the down terminal (Z) of the lower counter Q11. At the same time, the up reset terminal (UR) of the upper counter ■ is connected to the down reset terminal (DH) of the lower counter all. down reset terminal CDR)
is connected to the up-reset terminal (UR) of the lower counter. ■ is a counting pulse source, which has a configuration in which the display state changes one by one every second, or a pulse of jHz, or one in which the display state changes by one every 3 seconds. For example, a pulse of 1/5 Hz is generated.

Next, the operation will be explained. First, let us consider the situation ■ in which the hourglass body (1) is placed on the royal figure ■. The reset pulse from the reset pulse source @ is the reset switch (to)
is applied to the upper down reset terminal (DR) and the lower Azu preset terminal (UR) through the upper counter ω.
The content of iIk is set to be a high value, for example 60, and the content of the lower counter e211 is set to zero. As a result, the upper counter

When the number t4 is supplied to each counter ω, the content of the upper counter ■ becomes 59, and the content of the lower counter @ becomes 1. Therefore, the content of each stitch number is applied to each decoder (to)@shi = is lit, and the lower display element (4) is applied.
5) A specific one of (45)..., specifically, the center one at the top of the lower display elements (45H45)... changes from green lighting to red lighting 1: Changes.

Similarly, each time a counting pulse from the counting pulse source is supplied to each counter j@, the upper counter (1) changes the number of stitches by 1, and the lower counter (211 changes the counting content by 1). Increase each counter of sled and lever e!0

In addition, if it becomes necessary to interrupt the hourglass movement in the middle of the hourglass movement and restart the hourglass movement for 1 minute or 3 minutes, the hourglass body should be changed to an upright position. By turning the counter upside down when it is in operation, and by turning it into an upright position when it is inverted, the reset pulse from the reset pulse source @ resets each counter to its initial state. It is possible to immediately start the hourglass operation from the initial state.

In addition, in the above explanation, the initial state was considered such that all the lower display elements were lit in red and all the lower display elements were lit in green, but there is no problem even if the lighting color is reversed. Furthermore, the present invention is not limited to LEDs, and any display element that emits two different colors can be used. ! The display elements that emit different colors of S are arranged, and the display color on the upper display surface is transferred to the lower display surface as time progresses. A display similar to that of a road can be obtained, and this type of hourglass can be completely changed to 40. As a result, it is possible to create a bow that has no errors in timekeeping operation, and can quickly adapt to any shape without being subject to the structural constraints of existing hourglasses. You can also obtain something that is excellent in terms of physical strength.
