Abstract

PURPOSE:To receive UHF and VHF television signals with one antenna, by constituting the antenna with a folded dipole antenna element and plural coils inserted on the way. CONSTITUTION:The antenna is formed with the folded dipole elements 1, 1 and the coils L1, L2 inserted on the way. The antenna with this constitution is used in the state that electromagnetic waves are incoming from the direction of the arrow A. In this case, relating to the television electromagnetic waves of low and high bands of VHF, the current distribution as shown in figure is obtained at a front element 2a and a rear element 2b, and the television electromagnetic waves are received excellently. Relating to the television electromagnetic waves of UHF, the current distribution as shown in figure is obtained at the elements such as front element 2a, rear element 2b, root elements 3a, 3b and tip elements 4a, 4b, and the electromagnetic waves are received excellently, similarly also in this case.
