Claims (1)

字状に折曲して衝突荷重により偏平状に変形可能に形成
されたエネルギー吸収体が同吸収体の両端に対向状に折
曲された取付片を介して取付けられ、このエネルギー吸
収体は弾性をもつカバーパッドで被装され、しかも、前
記取付片の少なくとも一方の基端折曲部は前記ボスプレ
ートの端縁より外方に位置されていることを特徴とする
ステアリングホイールのエネルギー吸収装置。The boss plate, which is fixed to the steering shaft and to which the steering wheel is attached, has an energy absorber formed by bending a plate material into a substantially U-shape so that it can be deformed into a flat shape by a collision load.
