Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare decorative member having pattern material dispersed in a matrix in the form of natural marble and suitable for internal trim material by a method wherein the matrix material is heated, kneaded softened to be mixed with liquid pattern material that can be heated and hardened and further to be kneaded with it. CONSTITUTION:Thermoplastic resin matrix material composition 1[such as vinylchloride, (metha)acrylic ester, etc.]is heated and kneaded by the Banbury mixer 3 until it is softened, then, liquid pattern material 2[colored (metha)acrylic acid etc. mixed with polymerization initiator]is put into the mixer 3 and kneaded to an extent that the liquid pattern material 2 does not homogenize with the matrix material 1. Thereby, the pattern material 2 permeates into cavities in the matrix material 1 and hardens to form the scroll pattern 9. The bulk material obtained by this method is adjusted by a mill roll 4 in thickness and cut by the cutter 5 to obtain the plate-like decorative member 6. Then the material is pressed by the pressing machines 8, 8 to smooth the surface.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a method for producing a decorative material suitable for interior decoration materials, and its object is to produce a decorative material with a rich variety of suminagashi patterns and a high design quality. Furthermore, according to the present invention, it is possible to obtain a decorative material with a pattern that closely resembles that of natural marble.Natural marble is prized as an interior decoration material because it is more decorative, has a solid feel, and is more durable than conventional marble, but it is expensive, heavy, and has poor thermal efficiency. . Therefore, various synthetic resin interior materials with surfaces resembling marble are manufactured, but the manufacturing method for these is to sprinkle granular or pellet-like pattern materials on the heated and kneaded resin and then roll it with a calendar roll or the like. etc. were used and it was done. However, the pattern created by this method is created by dispersing solid pattern material in a resin mass and rolling it, so it flows vertically or is broken into short pieces, giving rise to the wide variation of natural marble. No rich pattern was obtained.

The present invention solves the above problems and provides an interior material that closely resembles natural marble due to the pattern created by the flow of a liquid pattern material. A liquid pattern material that can be assimilated by heating is applied, and the liquid pattern material is kneaded and solidified to the extent that it does not become the same as the matrix material, and the solidified pattern material is scattered in the matrix material, and then the resulting lump is formed into a sheet. The gist is a patented manufacturing method characterized by:

FIG. 1 is a process diagram for implementing the present invention. 1 is a matrix material, and 2 is a liquid pattern material. Matrix material 1 includes vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride, esters of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid, olefin homopolymers and copolymers, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers, and other known thermoplastic resins that can be force-rendered with plasticizers. , stabilizers, and fillers are blended to the extent that it can be calendered. Note that if a transparent or translucent product is required, fillers are not added as much as possible.

The liquid pattern material must be initially liquid and capable of later solidification by heating. Colored PVC as a liquid pattern material
Pastes or colored acrylic acid, methacrylic acid or ester monomers thereof mixed with a polymerization initiator, and acrylic resin paints are desirable. When a pattern material is made of PVC, 10 to 100 parts by weight of a plasticizer is blended with 100 parts of PVC resin, and pigments, stabilizers, fillers, etc. may also be blended.

The pattern material penetrates into the voids in the matrix during kneading and is then dispersed by a Banbury mixer, resulting in heating and solidification. The pattern material spreads all over the place, and by adjusting the viscosity of the liquid pattern material, a cloud-shaped pattern area with a desired spread can be obtained. The matrix paste product put into the Banbury mixer is heated and kneaded by the Banbury mixer, so that the lumps gradually become larger, but by selecting an appropriate size of the lumps, it becomes three-dimensional. A delicate pattern with a wide range of colors can be obtained.

After the liquid pattern material 2 is added to the matrix material 1, it must be heated and kneaded for a short time to prevent the pattern from becoming completely uniform with the matrix material. If the kneading time is too long, the resin becomes completely homogeneous, the cloud pattern area disappears, and the entire resin mass becomes an indistinct color. On the other hand, if the kneading time is short, the final decorative material obtained will be non-uniform with little variation.

Bamba IJ - The lump discharged from the mixer 8 is adjusted to a desired thickness by a mill roll 4, and cut into an appropriate length by a cutter 5. The cut plate-shaped decorative material 6 is conveyed by a conveyor 7, goes up to a press machine 8.8", and is pressurized to smooth the surface. If desired, the plate-shaped decorative material is further reduced in thickness by a slitter (not shown). It may be cut in the direction.

FIG. 2 is an external view of the decorative material of the present invention, and 6 is the above plate-shaped decorative material. 9.91 is a cloud-shaped pattern area, and 10 is a matrix obtained by molding matrix material 1. After the solidified and deformed pattern material is formed into a sheet, it is scattered almost equally throughout the decorative material as cloud-shaped pattern areas.

Even if the matrix 10 is opaque and contains a large amount of filler, a more varied pattern can be obtained on the surface of the decorative material compared to the conventional method of mixing and rolling a pellet pattern material. The cloud-shaped pattern area can be seen through, giving a remarkable three-dimensional effect.

If there is a solid material such as a colored chip in the initial pattern, the pattern will inevitably become monotonous. On the other hand, with the decorative material of the present invention, a delicate and varied pattern similar to suminagashi can be obtained based on the liquid pattern material applied, resulting in a design. Sexuality further improves. In particular, by making the matrix transparent or translucent, the pattern deep within the matrix can be seen through, resulting in a three-dimensional and deep pattern that closely resembles the grain pattern of natural marble.

In the decorative material of the present invention, the cloud-shaped pattern area is evenly distributed over the entire thickness of the matrix, resulting in a richly varied pattern.
The pattern will not disappear due to wear. It is also cheaper, lighter, and more energy efficient than natural marble, making it a versatile material for the interior of high-rise buildings.
