Abstract

PURPOSE:To clean spatulas stuck with putty without soiling the operator's hand and without attack of solvents by constituting a cleaner in such a way that the operations of dipping the apatulas in an org. solvent, and removing the putty with blades then wiping the spatulas with cloth can be performed simultaneously in one box. CONSTITUTION:This cleaner is designed to permit all operations of cleaning the putty spatulas stuck with putty in plate painting of automobiles in one box without soiling the hand. The excess putty after coating of the putty is removed with elastic plastics 1, 2. The putty is removed immediately if 1 is used when the volume of the putty is small and if 2 is used when the volume is large. Even after the putty is scraped off, some putty is stuck on the spatulas; therefore, the spatulas are dipped for a while in an org. solvent 3 and the putty is removed. The putty spatulas are sandwiched with cloth 6 and are wiped clean.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention is for cleaning a putty scraper used in applying putty during automobile sheet metal painting without making hands dirty.

Traditionally, putty was applied and the excess putty was removed with a cloth or newspaper, but neither method was able to put it down cleanly. I also had putty on my hands, so I soaked a cloth in thinner and wiped my hands with a putty scraper.
