Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate removal of contaminants, such as dirt and rubbish, on a glass surface by applying a polymeric material solution to the glass surface to form a coating film and peeling off this film after drying. CONSTITUTION:A polymeric material solution is applied to a glass surface to form a coating film, which is dried and then peeled off. As the polymeric material, polyethylene, polystyrene, polyester, polyurethane, styrene-butadiene copolymer, or a blend of these polymers is preferably used. As the solvent, an alcoholic, ketonic or aromatic solvent, or a blend of these solvents may be used. It is desirable to incorporate a small amount of a surface active agent into the solution to enhance the capability of wetting glass so that a coating film excellent in workability can be formed. The addition of a white pigment to the solution is also desirable since it makes it possible to ascertain if there is any area left to be coated or wiped.

[Prior art] Conventionally, to remove stains from glass, a commercially available glass cleaner is applied, and after drying, the stains are removed with a brush or cloth, and then washed with water so that the surfactant in the cleaner does not remain. After rinsing thoroughly, any remaining water droplets are wiped off with a dry cloth.

[Problems to be solved by the invention] Since commercially available glass cleaners are surfactant-based, it requires a lot of effort to remove the applied cleaner and wipe off water droplets. This had the disadvantage that cleaner and water droplets remained on the surface.

[Means for solving the problem] The present invention forms a coating of a polymeric substance on a glass surface,
When this film is peeled off, its adhesive strength is used to remove dirt, dust, and other dirt adhering to the glass. Therefore, although it has adhesive strength as a polymer coating, it is desirable to use a flexible material that can be peeled off from glass. It's okay.

The solvent is preferably a volatile solvent that is harmless to the human body, but any solvent that can dissolve the polymeric substance may be used, and alcohol-based, ketone-based, aromatic-based solvents, or a blend thereof may be used.

:1 weight ratio in toluene to make a solution with a viscosity of 10 voids, to which a phosphoric acid surfactant and a white pigment of titanium oxide were added at 3% each to the solution to make a glass cleaner. A film is formed on the glass surface by painting, and after leaving it for about an hour, the film is peeled off after confirming that the solvent has evaporated.
