Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the drop of output from an engine while to facilitate the assembling, by bending an exhaust tube at the rear cylinder side of a V-type engine at the outside of a collecting chamber and connecting to the collecting chamber. CONSTITUTION:A rear exhaust tube 20 is dropped linearly while slightly holding the upper section toward the rear of a cylinder head cover 17a of a rear section cylinder unit 17 while at the midway it is bent forward from the lower section of a collecting chamber 19 through a joint 21 and further bent in semi-circle at the front of the chamber 19 then finally connected to the right side front section of the chamber 19. The exhaust gas produced from an engine 14 will pass through front and rear exhaust tubes 18, 20 then combined in said chamber 19 where it is branched by left and right mufflers 22, 22.

、結果として排気抵抗が増大し、後部側エンジンの出力

題に鑑み、これを有効に解決すべく本発明を成したもの
で、その目的とする処は、V型エンジンの後部シリンダ
側の排気管を集合チャンバ外で屈曲して該集合チャンバ
に接続することにより、該排気管の屈曲部数を減少せし
めると同時に屈曲部の曲率半径を大きく保ち、排気ガス
の曲がり損失を減少せしめて排気抵抗を小さく抑え、以
ってエンジンの出力低下を防止し得るとともに、組付の
簡易化を図って組付作業性を向上せしめ得るようにした
自動二輪車用V型エンジンの排気装置を提供するにある

しつつ略直線的に垂下され、途中ジヨイント21を介し
て前記集合チャンバ19の下方より前方へ屈曲され、第
2図に示す如くチャンノ(19の前方で半円を描いて更
に屈曲し、最終的にチャンノく19の右側前部に接続さ
れている。尚この後部排気管20の管長は前部排気管1
8のそれに等しく設定されている。

ジン14は円滑な作動を保証される。尚両排気管18.
20の管長は等しいため、脈動効果を有効に利用し、エ
ンジン出力の向上を図り得ることは従前と同じである。

半径を大きく設定することができ、−排気抵抗を極小に
抑えてエンジン出力の低下を防ぐことができる。
