Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a decorated glass article having protected glass surface, easily, at a low cost, by coating a formed glass with a coloring agent, drying and fixing the coating layer, and removing a part of the coloring agent in the form of desired pattern. CONSTITUTION:A glass 1 having a normal composition is formed to an article having desired shape by forming process. The surface of the glass 1 is coated with a coloring agent 2 such as epoxy resin having a color different from the glass 1, and the agent is dried at normal temperature or with heat or baked and fixed to the glass 1. A part of the coloring agent 2 and if necessary the corresponding part of the surface of the glass 1 is cut and removed in a desired pattern to expose the surface of the glass 1 and obtain the objective decorated glass aritcle. If necessary, the product is coated wholly with a clear protecting film 3 such as acrylic resin film to attain the further protection of the glass 1.

Conventionally, glass panels with a thin surface layer of colored glass, that is, colored glass, are manufactured by first molding a thin outer body of colored glass with a base, and then molding it from the inside again with a different colored glass. It was formed so that a double white color was obtained between the color of the outer fabric and that of the inner body. Then, the outer body part is cut in a predetermined pattern and other surface treatments are applied (therefore, the polished part is exposed as the fabric surface of the body, and the other part remains as the fabric surface of the outer body, so the craft glass It is intended to be a decorative glassware with a strong tone.

Therefore, the present invention was created in view of the current situation, and is a glass that is rich in decorative properties similar to conventional colored glass.
8 can be produced inexpensively and in large quantities for the first time without any troublesome effort, and the glass material can be sufficiently protected to stabilize the product.

Next, a coloring agent 2 having a color different from that of the glass material 1 is applied to the surface of the molded glass material 1, such as a synthetic resin coloring agent such as epoxy resin, acrylic resin, or melamine resin, or an inorganic coloring agent such as ceramic or luster. The coloring agent 2 is applied to the surface of the glass vertical member 1 by drying at room temperature or by heating or baking to fix the coloring agent 2 to the surface of the glass vertical member 1.

However, some of the coloring agent 2 coated and fixed on the surface of the glass material 1 molded into a predetermined shape was further removed.
Since the surface of the glass material 1 is cut out in a predetermined pattern, the color of the glass material 1 and the color of the colorant 2 are mixed, and at the same time, the color of the glass material 1 is removed as a predetermined pattern.
