Abstract
PURPOSE: To damp the vibration generated from a water-turbine generator itself by providing the main gate 13 on its upper portion with a tiding-over sub-gate to operate the generator under the condition without water pressure fluctuation.
CONSTITUTION: A generator 6 itself is submerged by standing a sub-gate 17 after a main gate 13 reaches the floor. On the operation of a water-turbine generator 12 by opposing a connecting port 14 to the turbine through raising a water- turbine closing gate 15, the vibration thereby is damped by water. The laying of the sub-gate 17 completely laid or laid to halfway allows the tiding-over from this condition. Even at this tiding-over, the generator 12 can be operated at a fixed position. The raising of the generator 6 itself, which can be done under the condition with low water-pressure resistance because of the absorption of water pressure by the main gate 13, allows its repair or maintenance.
