Abstract

PURPOSE:To constitute an inching device simply, by shifting a shaft fixing rotating magnetic head via a support supported movably toward axial direction with an elastic member at an external frame, axially with electromagnetic force. CONSTITUTION:An inching device 5 is fixed to a rotating cylinder 1 and rotates with it. 6 is a rotary magnetic head fixed to a head support plate 7, the head support plate 7 is fixed to a shaft 8 of the inching device 5, and the rotary magnetic head 6 can be shifted minutely with an electromagnetic force toward the axial direction of the shaft 8. 9 is slip rings provided on a rotating shaft 3 to supply current to an electromagnetic coil 10 of the inching device 5 to flow a current to an electromagnetic coil 10 rotated through the slip rings 9 via brushes 11. Thus, automatic tracking of tracks, variable speed playback and prevention of jitter is achieved with the simple device.
