Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor having high sensitivity in the whole region of visible light and superior durability by adding a specified disazo pigment to a charge generating layer and a specified hydrazone compound to a charge transferring layer. CONSTITUTION:A charge generating layer 22 having 0.01-5mum thickness and contg. 10-100wt% disazo pigment represented by formulaIis formed on an electrically conductive support 11. A charge transferring layer 33 having 2-100mum thickness and contg. 10-80wt% hydrazone compound represented by formula II (where R1 is CH3, C2H5, C2H4OH or C2H4Cl, R2 is CH3, C2H5, benzyl or phen yl, and R3 is H, Cl, Br, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, dialkylamino or NO2) is then formed on the layer 22 to obtain a receptor having high sensitivity almost flatly in the whole resion of visible light and undergoing less deterioration in the characteristics even after it is used repeatedly many times.
