CONSTITUTION:The heat sensitive recording material is formed by providing the heat sensitive coloring layer including the colorless or hypochromic leuco dye and acidic material (e.g. citric acid and benzoic acid) or a phenol compound (e.g. o-hydroxybenzoic acid and 3,5-xylenol) which reacts with the leuco dye and colors it when heated on a supporting body. At this time, the compounds expressed by formulasIand II (where R1 is alkyl or C10-C30; R2 is alkyl of C1- C30) and the intended heat resistive recording matrial is obtained. It is desirable that the amount of addition of the compounds expressed by the formulasIand II are about 0.005-2 times and about 0.5-5 times the total weight of the leuco dye and the acidic material or the phenol compound, respectively.
