Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify constitution of or eliminate the necessity for an idle mechanism of tapmatic or the like, by synchronously controlling relative feed operation with an output signal of rotary angle detecting means at acceleration and deceleration of relative rotation of a tap and a work. CONSTITUTION:From the time (t2) when a stop command is applied to the main shaft of a motor 12 after completion of a prescribed amount of screw cutting to the time (t3) when the main shaft completely stops, and from the time (t4) of a reversely rotating command for the main shaft to the time (t5) when speed of the main shaft becomes prescribed speed, a pulse signal from a frequency divider 3 is applied to a pulse signal generator circuit in an auxiliary unit 7. Since the pulse signal generator applies its signal to a servo unit 12, a tap can be fed at synchronous feed speed with the speed of the main shaft even for the time t2-t3, t4-t5 in which synchronization can not be performed in the past. Accordingly, constitution of an idle mechanism of tapmatic or the like can be simplified or eliminated its necessity.
