Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a highly accurate temperature measurement in a simple circuit by combining a thermistor type square wave oscillator which varies a pulse width at the turning ON or OFF according to the temperature with a count pulse oscillator higher in the frequency. CONSTITUTION:A thermistor type square wave oscillator which varies a pulse width at the turning ON or OFF according to the temperature is used with a count pulse oscillator higher in the frequency. The counted number of the latter and AND coutputs of both components are counted with respective counters and based on the results, the temperature measured is displayed. For example, counters 15 and 16 respectively having switches 17 and 18 capable of presetting a value according to thermistor constants are used for these components separately. The former counts the output of the pulse oscillator 13 and the latter counts the addition of the output and square wave signals corresponding to the temperature given through a terminal 2 employing an AND gate 14 and a signal processing is performed with a decoder driver 19 and the like to achieve a highly accurate temperature measurement.
