Abstract

PURPOSE:To sense vibration and displacement in an optional direction with a small space by detecting short-circuiting between electrodes with vibration and inclination thereof utilizing a liquid with a conductivity and a fluidity. CONSTITUTION:An upper terminal 1 and a lower terminal 2 are disconnected electrically while a stationary base 6 is set horizontally. When a certain degree of vibration is applied on the statinery base 6, a liquid 4 with a conductivity put in a sensor body 3 oscillates therein contacting the upper terminal 1 along the side of the sensor body 3. This causes a short-circuiting between the upper terminal 1 and the lower terminal 2 by the liquid 4 attached to the side of the sensor body 3 and the liquid 4 oscillating due to the vibration. Detecting the state of the short-circuiting enables the sensing of the vibration or the inclination applied on the stationery base 6 having the sensor body 3 fixed. The size and the shape of the sensor body 3 is so determined that the liquid 4 is vibrated and resonated easily thereby quick sensing of a specified vibration.
