Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a heat accumulating material suitable for the heat source of a heat pump, by adding strontium oxide or barium oxide to a heat accumulating material containing CaCl2.6H2O or CaBr2.6H2O, thereby extremely efficiently preventing the supercooling of the heat accumulating material.
CONSTITUTION: A heat accumulating material containing CaCl2.6H2O and/or CaBr2.6H2O is compounded with strontium oxide or barium oxide as a supercooling preventing agent pref. in an amount of 0.01W1wt%. The supercooling of the composition composed of CaCl2.6H2O added with strontium oxide or barium oxide is broken at ≥23°C.
EFFECT: The molten liquid is neutral, low corrosive, and available at a low cost.
