Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain data having high accuracy of a stress distribution, by covering the surface of a member to be measured, by use of a substance whose heat conductivity ia smaller than that of its member, putting stress on it repeatedly, and observing it with an infrared camera. CONSTITUTION:A metallic members to be measured which is covered with polyester resin 2 in 0.1-0.5mm. thickness is supported in one end 1 by a cantilever mOde, is vibrated, and stress is put on it repeatedly. Heat generated in the member S is held by the polyester resin 2 whose heat 1 conductivity is low, and when its state is observed by use of an infrared camera, stripes of stress concentration parts 3, 4 are projected, and data having high accuracy is obtained.
