CONSTITUTION:An input signal ei from an input signal source 1 is inputted to a pulse width modulator 5 via a signal compression circuit 27. At this time, when the input signal ei is level-compressed, the pulse width of a PWM signal obtained at the output of a pulse width modulator 5 is also compressed without being proportional to the level of the input signal ei to obtain the linear characteristics, allowing to cancel the nonlinearity of output voltage + or - e to the duty of a DC-DC converter 4.
