Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain electric energy efficiently by allowing metal hydrides to be supported on a rotary tape in belt form and allowing said tape to travel continuously in reciprocation between a high-pressure chamber and a low-pressure chamber.
CONSTITUTION: Metal hydrides are supported on a rotary tape 9 in belt form, and said tape 9 is bridged between the high-temperature roll 6 connected to a high-temperature thermal medium 8 and the low-temperature roll 5 connected to a low-temperature thermal medium 7, and is travelled in reciprocation between a high-pressure chamber 4 and a low-pressure chamber 3. Therefore, hydrogen in high pressure is liberated in the high-pressure chamber 4, and said hydrogen flows into the low-pressure chamber 3 through a hydrogen pipe 10 and is imbiled into the tape 9 in the low-pressure chamber 3, so the hydrogen stream drives a generator 12 through an expander 11, and thus electric energy can be obtained efficiently.
