Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the measuring device for flow rate of gaseous body having excellent responsiveness, by providing a resistor for an electric heater on a metal layer formed on the surface of an insulator through the intermediary of an insulator layer and further by providing a temperature-dependent resistor for measuring flow rate on the resistor through the intermediary of an insulator layer. CONSTITUTION:The metal layers 14 and 17 are formed by printing on both surfaces 10a and 10b of an insulator 10 provided in a pipe in which air flows from the direction B and further on the upper surfaces of the metal layers the resistor 11 for an electric heater and the first temperature-dependent resistor 12 are formed by printing through the intermediary of the first insulator layer 15 and the third insulator layer 18 respectively. Furthermore, the second temperature-dependent resistor 13 is formed by printing on the upper surface of the resistor 11 through the intermediary of the second insulator layer 16 and thus an air flow-rate sensor is constituted. Since the sensor is constituted in this way, the radiation of heat from the resistor 11 is promoted by the metal layer 14 and thereby the responsiveness in the meaurement of flow rate is improved, while the sensor can be made small since the resistors 11-13 are provided on both surfaces of the insulator 10.
