Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase magnetic field intensity and coercive force by melting and casting a permanent magnet alloy contg. specific ratios of Cr, Co, Si, Ti, V in Fe then subjecting the same to solution heat treatment, cooling, heating and holding and aging treatments under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:The permanent magnet alloy contg. one or >=2 kinds of Si, Ti, V within 0.1-3% range in an alloy consisting of 20-35% Cr, 10-18% Co by weight and the balance substantially Fe is melted and cast. Thence, it is subjected to a solution heat treatment by holding it for 3-30min at 650-1,300 deg.C, and is cooled in a magnetic field. Further, it is held in a magnetic field at a constant temp. out of 550-700 deg.C, and is thence subjected to an aging treatment. It is also possible to add Mo, W, C, S alone or in combination to the permanent magnet alloy.
