Abstract
PURPOSE: An aqueous ink having extremely improved water resistance, comprising a coloring material containing an oil-soluble dye to the yellow type, an acid ester compound consisting of a specific compound esterified with a saccharide (derivative), a specific organic solvent, and water.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 0.3W15wt% coloring agent containing a yellow type oil-soluble dye, an acid ester compound consisting of a compound shown by the formula (X is replaceable aryl group; Y is halogen, OH, alkoxy, or alkyl) esterified with a saccharide (derivative), alone, or its mixture with other oil-soluble dye, is preferably blended with (B) 1W55wt% wate-soluble organic solvent (e.g., tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol) having a dielectric constant of ≥8 and a boiling temperature at normal pressure of 80W300°C and (C) 35W85wt% water, to give the desired ink. The component A is obtained by diazotizing p-aminobenzoic acid, etc., coupling the prepared compound with an acetoacetic anilide type compound to give the compound shown by the formula, converting the carboxy group in the compound to acyl chloride group, followed by reacting the resulting compound with a saccharide.
