Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare triamine adduct useful esp. as an epoxy resin hardener and a cure accelerator, by reacting a novel triamine with an oxide or acrylonitrile.
CONSTITUTION: The objective compound of formula V [at least one of R1WR6 is CH2CHXY (X is OH or CN; Y is H or 1W18C aliphatic hydrocarbon which may be substituted with halogen, etc., provided that when X is CN, then Y is H) and the others are H] is prepared by the addition reaction of a novel triamine of formulaI(the group of formula II is group of formula III or formula IV) with a 1W18C aliphatic hydrocarbon having 1,2-epoxy ring and optionally substituted with halogen or phenoxy (e.g. ethylene oxide, epichlorohydrin, etc.), or an aromatic hydrocarbon having 1,2-epoxy ring (e.g. styrene oxide) or acrylonitrile. The novel traiamine of formulaIcan be synthesized from 1,3,5-tricyanobenzene.
