PURPOSE:To make an ultrasonic emulsifying apparatus suitable for use in a cold district or the like by providing electric heaters to an outer peripheries of water conduit, emulsifying tanks and emulsified fuel supply pipes of said emulsifying apparatus to prevent freezing of water. CONSTITUTION:In an ultrasonic emulsifying apparatus for carrying out mixing and emulsification of a liquid fuel and water, to each outer peripheries of an arranged pipe 13 connecting a water tank 17 and an emulsifying tank 10, the emulsifying tank 10 and an emulsified fuel supply pipe 21, electric heaters 25, 26, 27 are respectively provided. Prior to starting operation thereof in a cold district or the like, electric current is applied to said heaters 25-27 to prevent freezing of water and moisture therein and, thereafter, emulsification is carried out. Therefore, the ultrasonic emulsifying apparatus can be stably operated and combustion efficiency of a combustion apparatus or the like is maintained in good efficiency.
