Abstract
PURPOSE:To express the intermediate tone following the changing state of a picture, by sharing a difference after binary coding a noted video element into a surrounding plurality of video elements which are not processed. CONSTITUTION:When a data for one video element is transmitted to a register R3 sequentially, the content of a distributor MPL is added and stored to a buffer memory BM2. At the same time, a video element information is read out from another buffer memory BM1 and it is binary coded with a comparator CMP as the density level of a noted video element. Thus, the difference E between the output of a register R1 and a binary coded output DOUT is obtained and the content of the distributor MPL is rewritten.
