Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect interlayer short circuting of a winding surely despite presence of fluctuations in terminal voltage by connecting two pieces of impedance elements in parallel with the winding having an intermediate tap and connecting these elements in series, then connecting the intermediate tap and the above- mentioned elements thereby forming a bridge circuit. CONSTITUTION:Two pieces of impedance elements 3a, 3b connected at both ends of a terminal such as troidal magnetic field coil 1 or the like are connected in series, and further these are connected in parallel with an intermediate tap Nc of the winding, whereby a bridge circuit is formed. When short circuiting occurs between the layers of the winding of the coil 1, a difference in internal resistance, impedance, etc. is generated with the tap Nc as a boundary, and the bridge circuit goes unbalance, through which electric current flows. If the unbalance current is detected with a current detecting circut 4, the interlayer short circuiting of the winding of a troidal coil or the like for unclear fusion having fluctuations in voltage between terminals is surely detected.
