Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to repair the part, into which a long sleeve is difficult to be inserted, of the heat transfer pipe by a method wherein sleeves, which are divided longitudinally and possible to be latched together with one another through projections, are inserted in the heat pipe and then expanded.
CONSTITUTION: Each of the sleeves 4aW4d is inserted in turn by pushing up the sleeves 4aW4d one after another. After that, the uppermost sleeve 4a is expanded and fixed to the heat transfer pipe 2 with an annular projection 5 cut in the heat pipe 2.
