Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent stack rain by providing a drifter that changes a mist- contained gas flow into a swirling flow in a flue in which the mist-contained gas flows.
CONSTITUTION: A mist-contained gas from a wet type exhaust gas desulfurizer 1 is exhausted through a flue 2 and a chimney 3 into the atmosphere. A drifter 4 is provided in the flue that changes the mist-contained gas into a swirl. The mist in the gas is deposited on the inside wall by the centrifugal force of the swirl, easily separating the mist from the gas that flows in the flue. There is little mist in the gas exhausted into the atmosphere preventing the stack rain.
