Abstract

PURPOSE: To ship liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) while dewatering the water dissolved into the LPG stored underground, by providing a bypass line and a circuit with a dewatering device partially in a shipping pipe line of the LPG and joining the LPG passing through the both pipe lines.
CONSTITUTION: In a shipping pipe line 5 for guiding liquefied petroleum gas (LPG)3, stored in an enclosed underground cavity 2 formed in an underground rock bed 1, to a shipping vessel 4 on the ground, there are provided a dewatering circuit, passing through a dewatering device 6 used with synthetic zeolite as an adsorbent, and a bypass pipe line 7, detouring said dewatering device 6, then the LPG, passing through said dewatering device 6, and the LPG, passing through the bypass pipe line 7, are joined, mixed in a merged part 9 and shipped by adjusting quantity of water. In this way, a part of the shipped LPG is applied high degree dewatering treatment by using a zeolite adsorbent, while the other part of the LPG is as left in a non-treatment state through the bypass pipe line, then the both are joined to obtain a product of LPG satisfying a permissible value of water content, thus the dewatering device can be miniaturized.
