Abstract

PURPOSE: To surely steer a boat by detecting an angle at which an anchor wire is hauled out from a hull, converting the angle to an electric signal, receiving it to indicate the direction of an anchor, thereby visually identifying the position of the anchor.
CONSTITUTION: In case an anchor wire 4 is hauled out at a certain angle, that is, the anchor wire 4 is hauled out rightward, for example as shown in the drawing, a guide member 14 is moved right a certain distance to cause a turn of a sprocket 19. In coincidence with the turn, a rotary shaft of a selsyn transmitter 18 is rotated so that a relative angle between primary and secondary windings is varied to result in a difference between phase voltages of the selsyn transmitter and a selsyn receiver. A needle 24 stuck to the rotary shaft of the selsyn receiver is therefore turned to indicate the direction of an anchor. A vertical roller and a horizontal roller are shown by the numbers 9 and 11, respectively.
