Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable an upper and a lower sample to be always and automatically brought into parallel contact with each other even if a change in the thickness of the sample is produced, by a method wherein a metal disc, which measures an adhesive force such that, after the upper sample is wound and pressed against the lower sample, the upper sample is lifted, is positioned so that it can freely rock togetherwith a supporter. CONSTITUTION:After an upper sample S', wound around a metal disc 26, is pressed against a lower sample S, the disc 26 is lifted through a load axis 22 to peel the sample S' from the sample S. A pressing force and a peeling force are detected through a pickup to perform a measurement of an adhesive force. The disc 26 freely rocks from side to side centering around an axis 24 togetherwith a supporter 25, and thereby the sample S' is automatically adjusted and brought into parallel contact with the sample S even if a change in the thickness of the samples S and S' is produced. This permits the easy and reliable measurement of the adhesive force without being influenced by a change in the thickness of the samples.
