PURPOSE:To measure automatically the color deviation quantity of convergence in a short time with a high precision, by detecting and measuring the color deviation in longitudinal and lateral directions due to patterns of longitudinal and lateral lines by white-and-black ITV cameras only for detection of longitudinal and lateral deviations respectively. CONSTITUTION:A receiver screen 1 where a white cross hatch pattern is projected is photographed by white-and-black ITV cameras 2 and 3 for detection of lateral and longitudinal deviations, and respective video signals 9 and 10 are inputted to a switch 4. In the switch 4, the video signal 9 or 10 is selected by a camera switching signal 11 from a microcomputer 7 which controls measure procedures and etc. of the whole. The selected video signal is amplified by an amplifier 5 and is inputted to a waveform position detecting device 6, and the position of the pattern is outputted as time data 12. This data 12 is operated by the microcomputer 7 and is converted to color deviation quantity data 13. The actual deviation quantity of convergence on the screen is printed out by a data printer 8.
