Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce variation in dimension and weight of the titled truck frame by reducing welding, by assembling the upper frame and the lower frame, each of which is composed of one-sheet product by press forming.
CONSTITUTION: A reinforcing plate is welded to the positions shown by the dotted line of each of an upper frame 5 and a lower frame 6. Both of the frames 5 and 6 are composed of one-sheet and manufactured by a press forming, respectively. Then the upper and lower frames 5 and 6 are welded to each other and they are united in one body. When this method is applied, welding can be reduced remarkably when compared with a conventional method, and, therefore, occurrence of distortion is reduced and variation in dimension are also minimized. Moreover, the processing time is reduced.
