Abstract
PURPOSE:To apply load at arbitrary magnitudes from two different directions independently and measure the strength of a structural material accurately by providing two pieces of driving mechanisms applying load in the axial line direction of a test piece and a direction intersecting with this. CONSTITUTION:A bent test piece A is fixed between a test piece support body 3 and a connecting fitting 13, and a moving screw rod 25 is spirally advanced in a horizontal direction by turning a handle 24. The leading end of a load transmitting member 28 is applied on the side face of the test piece A, and is spirally advanced up to the position where the test piece deforms elastically to a straight shape under reading with a dial gage 32. The load of this time is converted to quantity of electricity by a load cell 27 and is displayed. Next, an oil pressure supply edvice 11 is operated to apply driving force to an actuator 12, thereby pulling the test piece A by means of the connecting fittings 13, 14. The load of this time is detected by a load cell 15 and the quantity of strain is detected by the strain gage affixed to the test piece A.
