Abstract
PURPOSE:To sufficiently utilize the volume of a containing vessel by intermittently operating an oscillating member and leveling off the pile of the toner in the vessel at the time of putting the waste toner into said vessel. CONSTITUTION:An oscillating member 15 is pivotally supported freely rotatably and oscillatably to the shaft 16 installed at one end of a top cover 6. This member 15 is formed of an operating part 15a and a driven part 15b, and is so constituted that the part 15a at one end is allowed to contact with the top surface of the waste toner. When a cassette 20 exists in the copying apparatus, the member 15 is in the position of dotted lines, and when the cassette 20 is removed to the outside of the copying apparatus, an arm is energized by a spring 22, and the oscillating plate 15 is oscillated. The waste toner grown to a pile shape is broken by the oscillating force thereof. Hence, no special driving forces are required as a generating source, and the containing vessel is utilized fully up to its volume.
