Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily and inexpensively obtain a press mold, by using a previously formed product as a model and by manufacturing top and bottom press mold parts by pouring a low melting point alloy into the model.
CONSTITUTION: A previously press formed product 1 is prepared. This product 1 is contained in a lower molding flask and a space for pouring is formed at a bottom part 2 side. On the other hand, a backup 5 having an anchor 4 is buried at a top part 3 side. Then, a low melting point alloy 9 is poured into the mold and a top press mold part 6 is obtained. In the case of manufacturing a bottom press mold part 7, on the contrary to the case of the top press mold part 6, the product 1 is set to the bottom part 2 so that the product may extrude to the top part 3 side. To obtain a wall thickness which can yield sufficient strength as the press mold and to form a fitting part in the backup 5, a pouring space is formed in the top part 3 by using a drawback core, etc. Then, the low melting point alloy 9 is poured into the mold and the bottom press mold part 7 is obtained. A blank holder 8 is manufactured by utilizing the flange part of the product 1.
