Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled mat, whose variation in specific gravity is extremely small, by improving non-uniformity of the specific gravity, by scattering chips from the top onto a porous board placed on a foaming table, filling inside of partition of the porous board with the chips and raking out the surplus chips.
CONSTITUTION: After a porous board 1, which is provided with partitions, such as wire nets and grating boards, etc. in an outside frame 1', is installed on a foaming table 2, pasted chips 3 are dropped by a sprinkler 4, and after the chips have been scattered on the porous board to a layer thicker than thickness of the board, the surplus chips are raked out by using such a thing as a raked out board 5. Then, by removing the porous board 1 from the surface of the forming table 2, a flat-sheet mat of a required thickness is obtained. Further, it is more desirable to obtain the objective mat in such a manner as to thermally press the mat and fill the mark of the porous board on the mat with the chips uniformly by utilizing a little fluidity of the chips.
