Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the engine oil level display device for the automobile without erroneous operation by providing a means for erasing the display at the start of the engine and properly displaying the level for a specified time after the stop of the engine in the oil level display means. CONSTITUTION:The output of an oil level sensor SN is displayed on a display means 10 through a sensing circuit 13, a judging circuit 14 having an FF circuit, a checking circuit 11, and a driving circuit 12. A regulator contact point circuit CHG which erases the display means at the start of the engine is connected to the check circuit 11. A timer circuit 15, which receives the Q' output of the FF circuit and outputs the proper oil signal to the sensing circuit 13 for the specified time, is connected to the input of a transistor Q3 of the sensing circuit 13. In this constitution, when an ignition switch IG is turned ON, the signal from the SN is displayed on the display means. When the engine is started, the display means is erased. Since the proper display signal is supplied to the sensing circuit 13 by the output of the timer circuit 15, the erroneous operation does not occur.
