Abstract

PURPOSE: To control ineffective stroke and simplify the structure by directly touching the push rod with a concave provided to the pedal lever.
CONSTITUTION: The pedal lever 13 is provided with a concave 13a with which a roller 15 of the push rod 12 is touched. The roller 15 supported by a shaft to a bracket 14 which is fixed to the pedal lever 13 side end of the push rod 12. The above concave 13a consists of a couple of 1/4 circle faces at its upper and lower ends each conforming to the outer circumference of the roller 15, and an arc having a radium larger than that of the roller 15 connecting the above two circular faces. When the lever 13 is not working, the roller 15 is contact with the lowermost end of the concave 13a where the pedal ratio is minumum. By stepping on the lever 13, the concave 13a is shifted so that point of contact of the roller 15 moves upward where the pedal ratio is larger. When the roller 15 comes in contact with the uppermost end of the concave 13a, the pedal ratio becomes maximum.
