PURPOSE:To resolve the unstability of the control due to erroneous set, by comparing the numeric value of control parameters displayed on a display equipment with the numeric value of control parameters set to a holding type set switch group and by detecting the coincidence between them. CONSTITUTION:In the temperature regulator of an electric furnace, a control mode changeover switch 7 is closed to set the control parameter measuring mode, and a relay X of the electric furnace is excited to apply an operation quantity in steps to the electric furnace, and temperature information of the electric furnace obtained through a thermocouple 9 and an AD converter 8 is stored in an RAM of a main control part 1. The control part 1 operates the response characteristic of the electric furnace from this information by PID to calculate control parameters and displays them on a display equipment. During this time, a CPU reads the numeric value set to a control parameter set switch 5 and compares this numeric value with the numeric value of the display equipment 4. When both numeric values coincide with each other by repeating this operation, optimum control parameters are set. The switch 5 is a holding type switch, and therefore, optimum parameters are held in the switch 5 even if the power source is turned off and data of the RAM disappears.
