Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform proper fuel injection in a wide variation range of suction air amounts by providing two injection valves, one is controlled on the basis of an output of a swirl flow meter used for detecting the amount of suction air and the other is subsequently operated when the output of the swirl flow meter exceeds a certain value.
CONSTITUTION: When an engine is started and runs in an idle-or-so operation range where the quantity of a suction air is little and a frequency output of a swirl flow meter 4 is lower than a certain level, the first injection valve 5 is actuated for a certain period by an electronic controller 8 synchronously with an output signal of the swirl flow meter 4. When the quantity of the suction air is incresed and said frequency output becomes higher than the level, the first injection valve 5 is actuated with a frequency, one-half divided output frequency and simultaneously the second injection valve 6 is subsequently worked. When the quantity of the suction air gains more and the output is increased over the second higher level, the first injection valve 5 is actuated with a one-fourth divided frequency and the third injection valve 7 is worked as well as the second valve 6.
